OnePlus 8T launched with Snapdragon 865 SoC, 48MP quad-camera, 120Hz display: Check India Price, Specs

OnePlus just announced the OnePlus 8T at an online event in India. The latest premium smartphone from OnePlus’ stable comes with a bunch of incremental upgrades over its predecessor, the OnePlus 8. OnePlus 8T price in India starts at Rs 42,999. OnePlus continues its tradition of releasing a ‘T’ series model of a flagship that it introduced earlier in the same year. OnePlus 8T comes with some changes and improvements over the regular OnePlus 8, just like other ‘T’ models. It features a 120Hz refresh rate display, up from the original’s 90Hz. It also supports 65W fast charging, up from the OnePlus 8’s 30W charging. There is also a larger battery compared to the OnePlus 8, and a quad rear camera setup instead of triple.

OnePlus 8T: Features and Specifications

Display: The OnePlus 8T features a 6.55-inch Fluid AMOLED display with a 2400×1,080 resolution, 402ppi pixel-density 20:9 aspect ration, and 1,100nits brightness.

Chipset: Under the hood, the OnePlus 8T features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, paired with an X55 modem for 5G support. The processor on the OnePlus 8T 5G is paired with 8GB/12GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.

Rear cameras: The rear of the device, the OnePlus 8T features a quad rear camera setup that includes a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor with an f/1.7 lens, a 16-megapixel Sony IMX481 sensor with an ultra-wide-angle f/2.2 lens, a 5-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor.

Front cameras: On the front, For the selfies, the OnePlus 8T offers a 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor with f/2.4 aperture, 1μ pixel size, and EIS.

Battery: OnePlus 8T packs a 4500mAh dual-cell battery that comes with 65W Warp charge 65 fast charging support. OnePlus is bundling a Type-C to Type-C cable with the 8T, Warp charge 65 charger supports power delivery, and can charge other devices at up to 45W.

Security: For security, the phone will sport an in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock technology as well. Sensors onboard will be In-display Fingerprint Sensor, Accelerometer, Electronic Compass, Gyroscope, Ambient Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor.

Connectivity options include 5G, 4G VoLTE, GPS, Bluetooth 5.1, USB Type-C, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, 2×2 MIMO. OnePlus 8T 5G features an in-display fingerprint and face unlock for biometric authentication.

The smartphone boots on OxygenOS 11, based on Android 11 out-of-the-box. The device weighs 188 grams and is 8.44mm thick.

OnePlus 8T: Price in India

OnePlus 8T has been launched in India in two storage configurations. The 8GB + 128GB storage option is priced at Rs. 42,999, while the 12GB + 256GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 45,999. The first model comes in two colour options – Aquamarine Green and Lunar Silver. The other variant comes in a single Aquamarine Green colour option. The smartphone goes on sale starting October 17th via amazon.in and Oneplus.in, but Amazon Prime subscribers can purchase it starting October 16th.
