Xiaomi has launched a new Redmi Note series device – Redmi Note 8 2021 for the global markets. Redmi Note 8 2021 is launched to celebrate the 25million sale milestone of the original Redmi Note 8 that launched back in 2019. The Redmi Note 8 2021 has been updated with the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC as opposed to the Snapdragon 665 chip on the original Redmi Note 8. Redmi Note 8 2021 Price
The Redmi Note 8 2021s 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant costs $ 169 (approx Rs. 12,300), but the 4GB + 128GB model returns to $ 189 (approx Rs. 13,750). Currently, there is no information about when the brand will launch smartphones in the Indian market. The phone will be offered in Moonlight White, Neptune Blue, and Space Black colours.

The Redmi Note 8 2021 features a 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,340 pixels) Dot Drop display with 409ppi pixel density, 1,500:1 contrast ratio, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and 500 nits peak brightness. The handset features a dot notch that houses the front selfie shooter.
Under-the-hood, It comes with the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. It also has a dedicated micro-SD card slot to expand the storage further. The device boots Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 out of the box.
Moving to the optics, Note 8 2021 offers a 48MP quad-rear camera setup with an LED flash. The primary 48MP shooter gets accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The handset also offers a 13MP front shooter for selfies and video calls.
The device packs a 4,000 mAh battery and comes with 18W charging support, although Xiaomi has bundled a 22.5W charger in the box. The handset also has a fingerprint reader on the back and an IP52 rating for splash resistance. Connectivity options include Dual Sim, 4G, 2.4GHz/ 5GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, and GPS, Glonass, Galileo E1, Beidou B1. The smartphone measures 158.3×75.3×8.35mm, and weighs 190grams.
