Oppo A16 With MediaTek Helio G35 SoC Launched: Price, Specs

Oppo has finally launched its budget smartphone, the Oppo A16, in Indonesia. The smartphone has been in the rumor spectrum since May. The smartphone has launched as a successor to the Oppo A15, which was launched in October of last year. It comes with an entry-level MediaTek chipset, a triple camera setup, and packs a large 5,000mAh battery and includes a Super Night Sleep mode to further reduce power consumption. Oppo A16 is launched For the only 3GB + 32GB storage variant, IDR 1,999,000 (approx. Rs .10,300). Available in crystal black, pearl blue, and space silver colors. Oppo has not yet announced the launch of the device in other markets yet but it may rebrand the A16 and launch it as the Oppo A37 in some regions.

Oppo A16 features a 6.52-inch (720 x 1600 pixels) HD + display with a 60Hz refresh rate, 60Hz touch sampling rate, 269 PPI pixel density, and a peak brightness of 480 nits. It has an 88.7% screen-to-body ratio and 1500: 1 contrast ratio. The device runs on ColorOS 11.1.

On the processor front, the Oppo A16 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G35 SoC. Additionally, the octa-core chipset is paired with 3GB LPDDR4x RAM and 32GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. Furthermore, the internal storage on the device is expandable via a microSD card slot.

For photos and videos, the phone has a 13-megapixel primary sensor with an f / 2.2 lens, a 2-megapixel macro shooter with an f / 2.4 aperture, and an f / 2.4 lens. The Oppo A16 on the front features an 8-megapixel sensor with an f / 2.0 lens for selfies and video calls.
