Samsung introduced the Galaxy A22, and Galaxy A22 5G handsets earlier this month. Now, the company has launched the Galaxy A22 4G variant in the Indian market. The Galaxy A22 is powered by a MediaTek Helio G80 SoC, and a 5,000mAh battery. As of now, the handset is being sold via offline stores, and Samsung hasn’t announced anything regarding online availability, as reported by 91mobiles. In a report citing offline retail sources, 91Mobiles claims the Samsung Galaxy A22 is priced at Rs. 18,499 for the sole 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model in India. As per a leaked poster shared by the publication, the smartphone will be launched in Black and Mint colour options and the specifications mentioned in the poster are identical to the European model. Launch offers mentioned on the poster include the Samsung Care package that entails free home delivery, Samsung Finance+, and Samsung Care+.

The Samsung Galaxy A22 will feature a 6.4-inch HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It should be powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The handset should run Android 11-based One UI 3.1 out of the box.
Moving on to the cameras, the device features a quad-rear camera setup inside a squircle camera module. The primary sensor on the handset is a 48MP shooter, that gets accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone offers a 13MP front shooter inside an Infinity-U notch.
The smartphone is fueled by a massive 5000mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging. Connectivity options to include LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and more. There will be a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and the phone is likely to weigh 186 grams.
