Vivo has launched the Vivo X80 and the Vivo X80 Pro in India today. These phones were launched in China in April 2022. The Vivo X80 becomes the first smartphone in India to be powered by MediaTek’s top-of-the-line Dimensity 9000 chipset. The Vivo X80 packs some powerful hardware under the hood. Let us take a closer look at the Vivo X80 and the Vivo X80 Pro’s price, specifications, and features.
Vivo X80, X80 Pro Price in India
The Vivo X80 Pro costs Rs. 79,999 for the lone 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. On the other hand, the Vivo X80 is priced at Rs. 54,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model and Rs. 59,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration.
The Vivo X80 Pro is offered in Cosmic Black, while the vanilla X80 is available in Cosmic Black and Urban Blue. The Vivo X80 series will go on sale in India starting May 25 and will be available for purchase through Vivo India’s online store Flipkart and other retailers.
Vivo X80 Pro Specifications
This Vivo X80 Pro features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 2K (1,440×3,200 pixels) resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The Vivo X80 Pro comes with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and runs on Android 12-based OriginOS.
For optics, the Vivo X80 Pro uses a custom 50 MP, 1/1.3″ Samsung-made ISOCELL GNV sensor with optical stabilization, laser AF, and Pixel Shift technology. The main camera is paired with a dedicated Sony IMX663 12 MP portrait lens with 2x zoom and gimbal-like OIS. You also get an 8 MP optically stabilized periscope lens with 5x optical zoom and a 48 MP Sony IMX598 ultrawide shooter.
It packs a 4,700mAh battery that supports 80W Flash Charge wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. It has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
Vivo X80 Specifications
The Vivo X80 sports a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display. The screen has a hole-punch cutout at the top centre for the front camera. It also supports a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, there is a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC as well. The device runs Android 12-based Funtouch OS 12 out of the box. The phone comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner and AI face unlock.
For optics, there is a huge camera block at the back that houses a triple-camera setup. The phone has a 50MP main sensor along with a 12MP ultrawide camera and a 12MP portrait sensor with 2x optical zoom. There is a 32MP front camera sensor as well. As mentioned above, the phone comes with Zeiss-tuned cameras.
It packs a 4500 mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging out of the box. It supports WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, 5G, 4G VoLTE, etc.
