Vivo Y51A 6GB RAM Variant Launched in India: Price, Specifications

Vivo has introduced a new variant of the budget Vivo Y51A phone in India. It comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage and is priced more affordably than its 8GB counterpart. The launch essentially adds a new RAM variant to the mid-range that so far was offered in only one RAM and storage variant. The device was originally launched in the country back in January with 8GB of RAM/128GB of internal storage. The 6GB RAM option comes with a slightly reduced price and with the same specifications as the 8GB RAM variant. Let us take a detailed look at Vivo Y51A India’s price, features, and specifications.

Vivo Y51A Price in India

Vivo Y51A is priced at Rs 16,990 for the new 6GB RAM/128GB storage variant and at Rs 17,990 for the 8GB RAM/128GB storage variant. The device is currently available via the Vivo India e-store in Crystal Symphony and Titanium Sapphire colour options.

Vivo Y51A Specifications

The Vivo Y51A sports a 6.58 inch FHD+ LCD display with a resolution of 1080×2408 pixels. A mid-range Snapdragon 662 SoC powers it. This is an octa-core SoC based on an 11nm manufacturing process and coupled with Adreno 610 GPU. The chipset is paired with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.

In the camera department, the device has a 48MP main sensor on the back, which is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP shooter for macro photography. For selfies and video calling purposes, there’s a 16MP camera on the front of the handset.

The smartphone features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging.  The Vivo Y51A continues to be a 4G only smartphone, in a segment where more sellers are introducing 5G devices even in the mid-range price category. Connectivity features, such as a MicroSD slot, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5, and USB-C are also a part of the Y51A.
