At the Xiaomi Next 2022 event in India, the company finally announced the Xiaomi Pad 5. The flagship tablet from the firm was first unveiled in August 2021. The Pad 5 from Xiaomi comes with a high refresh rate panel, Snapdragon processor, ample storage, support for a smartpen to take advantage of the large screen, and more. Let’s take a look at its specs along with its pricing and availability.
Xiaomi Pad 5 Price in India and Availability
The Xiaomi Pad 5 is priced at Rs 26,999 for the 128GB model and the 256GB model is priced at Rs 28,999. It will be available from Amazon, mi.com, Mi Home stores, and offline stores starting from May 3. The tablet will be available at an introductory price of Rs 24,999 and Rs 26,999, respectively till May 7. It comes in Cosmic Gray colour.
Xiaomi Pad 5 Specifications and Features
The tablet features a 10.95-inch display (LCD) with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels (WQHD+), 275 PPI, and up to a 120Hz refresh rate. The 10-bit panel supports stylus input via Xiaomi Smart Pen, DCI-P3 color gamut, and Dolby Vision HDR standard. It has a 16:10 aspect ratio and a peak brightness level of 650 nits. The Xiaomi Pad 5 features a plastic rear panel and a metal frame. The Xiaomi Pad 5 measures 254.69mmx 166.25mm x 6.85mm and Weighs 511grams.
Under the hood, the Pad 5 is powered by the Snapdragon 860 octa-core chipset built on a 7nm process with up to 2.96GHz clock speed. The SoC is paired with Adreno 640 GPU. The slim tablet is fitted with 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and ample 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage on the inside.
In terms of cameras, the Xiaomi Pad 5 features a 13MP rear camera that supports 4K video recordings. For selfies and video calling, the tablet features an 8MP front-facing camera with 1080p video recording support. Coming to the battery of the device, the Xiaomi Pad 5 packs in a massive 8,720mAh battery that supports 22.5W fast charging.
Furthermore, the tablet supports Xiaomi Smart Pen that comes with 4096 pressure sensitivity and 240Hz touch sampling rate, and weighs just 12.2g. The Smart Pen also includes convenient features such as Smart Pen function keys to quickly jot down notes, take screenshots, or easily switch between pen and eraser.
For connectivity, the Xiaomi Pad 5 offers Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, GALILEO, QZSS, and USB Type-C.
