Mi Watch Lite India launch Soon, Gets BIS certification

Xiaomi’s Redmi launched the Redmi Watch in China a couple of months back. The smartwatch made its debut as Mi Watch Lite in global markets. Now, it looks like Xiaomi might launch the Mi Watch Lite soon in India, as it has cleared BIS certification. The BIS listing shows the Mi Watch Lite listed as a Redmi device, indicating that the smartwatch may be launched under the Redmi brand. The BIS listing was spotted by known Tipster Mukul Sharma. The listing shows the Mi Watch Lite carrying model number REDMIWT02 and does not indicate anything else about the smartwatch apart from the model number. Mi Watch Lite Expected Price in India

The Mi Watch Lite is a rebranded variant of the Redmi Watch, which was launched in China in November at CNY 299 (roughly Rs. 3,400). We are able to anticipate the India value of the Mi Watch Lite to be comparable.

Mi Watch Lite Specifications and Features

The Mi Watch Lite comes with 11 workout modes and is claimed to offer up to nine days of battery life. It features a 1.4-inch square LCD display and has 5ATM resistance that allows it to work in up to 50 metres of water.

Talking about the battery life, Xiaomi promises up to 9 days of battery life on typical usage with the Mi Watch Lite. While it might last up to 10 hours with continuous GPS use with its inbuilt 230mAh battery. Mi Watch Lite has over 120 watch face choices. It has notifications for calls and messages, music controls, and climate assist.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.0 to connect the Watch with devices running Android 5.0 and above, and iOS 10.0 and above.

The Mi Watch Lite also packs a 3-axis accelerometer, 3-axis gyroscope, Barometer (altimeter), and a Compass sensor. It also supports GPS, A-GPS, and GLONASS.
